I AM HER Foundation, NFP

is focused on placing the responsibility of social justice and personal empowerment on the shoulders of all of us. It is a representation that you are not alone, and that we are fighting with and alongside you – that you matter.

The foundation is designed to offer hope and support to every black woman and girl living in the hard spaces of trauma; who has been hiding HER STORY because it was too hard to tell. I AM HER is here to support SPEAKING TRUTH! WHILE LIVING ON PURPOSE.

So that every black woman and girl know that their voice will no longer be SILENCED by the shame, guilt and injustices of this world we live in.  I AM HER wants every black woman and girl to know there is someone to stand with her against any and all issues that do not support equality and respect of all women.

Meet The Founder

Anjanette Young, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who took her trauma and turned it into power, Speaking HER Truth while living on purpose, which lead to her to create the I AM HER Foundation.  I AM HER is in honor of Breonna Taylor, because of the terrible way her life was taken.

Anjanette Young, surviving a very similar experience with the City of Chicago police department raid team, has now dedicated that experience to supporting other black women and girls, through life trauma’s. Promoting social justice, advocacy, and being a voice to the voiceless with I AM HER-Speaking truth while living on purpose.

The  “I AM HER” Foundation will support every black woman and girl by providing opportunities and a safe space to speak up about racial injustices and other inequities that impact the quality of life for all.
